The 2002 Somers Point Street Hockey Cadet All Star team competed in 8 All Star Tournaments last season, seven in New Jersey, and 1 in Niagara Falls, Canada.  The core of this team, Larry Randour, Harry Faisst, Joe Neill, Jon Etling, Steve McBride, Joey Toland, Jimmy Wyner, Ronnie Leopardi, Danny Pancoast, Kevin Horton, Tommy Stevens, and Kenny Flanagan had played together on All Star teams since the age of 8. They added to their roster Matt Mauro, Justin Radico, Jimmy Richards, Anthony Landolfo, and goalie Brock Copeland.

 

Playing in those tournaments the Team finished in 3^rd place 4 times (Marlton, West Deptford, Egg Harbor Township, Niagara Fall Canada) and 1^st place 3 times, at Maple Shade (beating EHT 8-0 (Steve McBride MVP)), at Gloucester (beating EHT 4-2 (Tommy Stevens and Jon Etling MVPs)) and a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory in Somers Point again over arch rival EHT.
