Tuesday February 19, 2008 JR's Tavern 5 Superior Plumbing 2 JR's knock Superior Plumbing out of the playoffs with a 5 to 2 victory. JR's moves into the championship round to do battle with Somers Point Body Shop for the cup.
JR's was led by their Captain Austin Klock who scored twice and assisted on two other goals. David Loefflad also had two goals while Matt Whitley lit the lamp once. Timmy Malloy and Kyle Bender were the scorers for the Plumbers who had a nice playoff run this year. |

Tuesday February 5, 2008 Superior Plumbing 6 Cornerstone Construction 1 The playoffs opened up with an upset as sixth seed Superior Plumbing was able to knock off the third seed Cornerstone Construction. Fast and Furious Kyle Bender scored four times while Pat Ciboldi and Dylan Costanza each had one for the plumbers. Ryan Shook got the only goal for the construction company. McLaughlin and Struthers Realty 5 IIP Mortgage 3 Dalton Bew grabbed a hat trick while leading his team, MSR, to victory. Riley McGuigan and Smilin' Ryan Kelley each scored once. |

Monday February 4, 2008 Cornerstone Construction 2 McLaughlin and Struthers Realty 2 Cornerstone and MSR battled to a two-two tie to end the regular season. Slick Nick Di Luzio scored the two goals for MSR while George Gazsi and Eric Seckinger were the scorers for the construction company. JR's Tavern 11 Superior Plumbing 6 JR's unloaded on the plumbers with a bevy of scores tonight. Both Austin Klock and David Loefflad earned hat tricks. Matt Whitely and Ricky Sykora each had a pair while Jesse Solanik got one as well. Scoring for the plumbers were Kyle Bender, Pat Ciboldi, Tim Malloy, Dylan Costanza, and Cody Keich. |

Saturday February 2, 2008 Somers Point Body Shop 6 JR's Tavern 3 The Body Shop finished out their regular season with a 6 to 3 victory over JR's. Their record of 19 and 1 earned them a first seed going into the playoffs.
Matt Harvey and Beau Turner each had two scores today for the Body Shop while Andrew Dipasquale and Dan "The Cannon" Johns each got one. Mike Anderson turned in another strong performance between the pipes. Scoring for JR's were Jesse "The Wind" Solanik, David Loefflad, and Austin Klock. |

Dan "The Cannon" Johns had two while Nick "The Rocket" Rutkowski had a pair as well. Tyler Cosmo, Andrew DiPasquale, and Beau Turner each lit the lamp once for the body shop. Eric Seckinger, Jack Woolston, and Joe Tyrrell were the scorers for Cornerstone. |

Wednesday January 30, 2008 McLaughlin and Struthers Realty 3 JR's Tavern 2 Another classic battle between these two teams. This was the fourth time they have met this season and the fourth time the game went into overtime. Two of previous matches ended in ties and JR's came out on top in the other contest. But tonight was to be MSR's night to celebrate. The first period was played even with no scores but JR's climbed to a two zero lead with goals from David Loefflad and Matt Whitely. Austin Klock and Ricky Sykora had the assists on those goals.
Half way thru the second period MSR decided to finally answer with some crisp passing from Chris Kelley and Riley McGuigan, Dalton Bew put one in the net. With less then three minutes to go in the game Colin McGuigan was able to get himself in front of the net and work one in with Dalton earning the assist.
Into the overtime period, they went. Up and down play with all the fans on the edge of their seats. With time winding down, Big Dalton Bew took the ball at center rink and beat the defense getting a clean break on the goaltender. Like a shark feasting on its prey, the goalie never had a chance as Dalton went "top shelf" and team MSR erupted in celebration.
Both goalies, Chris Kazcmarski for MSR and Brandon Gormley for JR's played out of their minds. Making tough save after tough save.
Cornerstone Construction 4 IIP Mortgage 3 The second game of the evening was a penalty filled slug fest between the Construction Company and The Mortgage Company. Cornerstone was able to come out on top with Matt Barella scoring twice and Jack Woolston and Eric Seckinger each getting one. Aaron Bellinger lit the lamp twice for IIP while David Kelly scored the other one. |

Cornerstone Construction 5 JR's Tavern 3 JR's took it on the chin losing to the second place team, Cornerstone Construction. Magic Matt Barella really shined today with a hat trick and one assist. Joe Tyrrell scored the other two for Cornerstone. Chris Hutton had some dazzling saves as the goaltender. Jesse Solanik, Ricky Sykora, and David Loefflad were the scorers for JR's. McLaughlin and Struthers Realty 4 Superior Plumbing 0 Riley McGuigan was all over the place today as he scored three times for a hat trick and assisted on the other goal by Dalton Bew. Chris Kazcmarski earned the shut out for MSR. Smiling Ryan Kelley was very strong on defense. |

Sunday January 6, 2008 JR's Tavern 4 Somers Point Body Shop 3 JR's handed The Body Shop their first loss of the season in an exciting Sunday afternoon contest. It was one of those classic back and forth type games. Tied late in the third period when Mr. Jesse Solanik took center stage and put in the game winner with just 24 seconds left. The crowd erupted.

Nick Rutkowski was all over the place scoring three goals and earning three assists. Beau Turner and Tyler Cosmo each scored once while Andrew Dipasquale had a pair. Ricky Sykora had a hat trick while Austin Klock, Matt Whitely, and David Loefflad each scored once for JR's. It was noted by several in attendance that the refereeing was not up to par. McLaughlin and Struthers Realty 2 Superior Plumbing 1 Thomas Hagenbach was the difference in this contest. He scored the first goal for MSR and assisted on the second goal that was scored by Colin McGuigan. Kyle "The Flame" Bender scored the lone goal for the plumbers. Andrew DiPasquale lit the lamp for the first two goals. Dan "The Hammer" Johns blasted one in while "Swift" Nick Rutkowski showed that he has a big time slap shot to go with his dazzling speed while scoring one towards the end of the second period. Tyler Cosmo topped off the scoring "southern style" with one in the third. Mike Anderson earned the shut out in the net. Coach McGuigan of MSR had no comment. Cornerstone Construction 8 Superior Plumbing and Heating 3 Cornerstone put a hurting on the plumbers 8 to 3. Eric "The Man" Seckinger scored a hat trick while Jack Woolston put in two. Cory Santora, Matt Barrella, and Katie Woolston each scored one for the "Orange Crush". George Gazsi was very strong in the nets considering he just came back from an extended layoff due to sickness and does not normally play between the pipes. Nick "The Rocket" Rutkowski had another multi-point game with two goals and two assists. The other two goal were scored by The pride of Georgia Tyler Cosmo. Mike Cuculino had a strong defensive game for the Body Shop. David Kelley scored the two for IIP. McLaughlin and Struthers Realty 5 Cornerstone Construction 1 Despite a season high six minutes worth of penalties, MSR knocked down Cornerstone 5 to 1. Chris Kazcmarski was dynamite in the net, turning away shot after shot. Dalton "Smooth as Silk" Bew threw two in while teammates Riley McGuigan, Nick Di Luzio, and Chris Kelley also found the net for MSR. Thomas Hagenbuch looked strong after a long layoff. Dalton Bew used his considerable skill and talent to score four times and assist on two other goals. Chris Kelley scored a pair while also having two assists. His younger brother Ryan Kelley slid up to offense from his usual defensive position and scored a goal in the third period. Colin McGuigan had the other score for MSR. Chris Kazcmarski was sharp between the pipes. Justin Monroe was the lone scorer for IIP. Somers Point Body Shop 12 Superior Plumbing and Heating 6 The Body Shop kept their unbeaten record going as they lumped up on Superior Plumbing. As usual Nick Rutkowski figured into the scoring. He had a pair of goals and three assist. Teammate Ray Giampapa lit the lamp 4 times to lead all scorers. Dan Johns, Andrew DiPasquale, and Matt Harvey each had a pair of goals as The Body Shop continues to spread around the scoring. The fast and furious Kyle Bender did every thing he could to keep the plumbers in the game. He scored 4 times while Dylan Costanza and Cody Kiech each got one. Saturday December 1, 2007 Somers Point Body Shop 5 McLaughlin and Struthers Realty 4 MSR gave The Body Shop all they could handle but Nick Rutkowski had the last word in over time scoring just 6 seconds in to the extra period. MSR led the entire game until Beau Turner tied it up with just 30 seconds left in the 3rd period. MSR committed a critical penalty with just 11 eleven seconds to go. Nick took the face-off in the 4th period and using his well known speed put it in the back of the net for the win. It was Nick's second goal of the day. Matt Harvey and Dan Johns also scored for The Body Shop. Dalton Bew scored all four goals for MSR with the help of some dazzling passing by his teammates. JR's Austin Klock ended it in overtime with a goal off of a rebound in front of MSR's net. Goalie Colin McGuigan made the first save but was unable to control the rebound as Klock knocked it home for the victory. It was Klock's second goal of the night. A bright spot for MSR was the play of roller hockey stud Dalton Bew who crossed over to the street hockey world with two goals in his debut. |
