December 4, 2009: Flyers 8 Stars 5 After leaving the game for a year, Matt Cadematori returned, scoring 4 goals for the Flyers. This was a very close game with both teams hustling to the end. The Stars never gave up especially, Shane Gulden who knocked in 3 goals. Anthony Barretta and Owen Freeman each had one for the Stars. The Flyers’ Kyle Somers had a hat trick and Jeff Dahl managed to shoot one past Michael Pecora. First year player Ryan Mckeever showed his speed & defensive skills with the help of Payton Martin and Kevin Phillips. Bryson Desrosier, sore ankle and all, helped the Stars with an assist. December 3, 2009: Red Wings 6 Bruins 5 After an explosive 1st period the Bruins took a quick 3-0 lead with scores from John Kelley, Kyle Juliano & Vinny Lombardo. After 8 months of no street hockey it took Jack Loefflad just 1 period to warm up, scoring 5 of the 6. Adding scores for the Bruins were Will Smith and Vinny Lombardo, his second of the night. Tied at the end of three the game went into overtime. One minute and forty seconds into overtime the Red Wings’ Ian Hutchins managed to squeak one past Derrick Mansley for the game winning goal. Helping to secure the win for the Red Wings was Neal Montagna in goal. |
