Cadet Championship Action:

The cadet season closed out with bang with Somers Point Body Shop out scoring IBEW 351 2 to 1 in a high shooting game to claim the title. Somers Point Body's defensive end was on their game, repeatedly taking the ball away from IBEW at the neutral line and going the other way with it.  The centers for both sides played an amazing game battling back and forth all night long.  Zack Freeman had more than one break away but only managed to ring the bell once.  Mike Leary and Scott Barrie both earned goals for The Body Shop to come away with the win in the end.

Cadet Playoff Action:

Somers Point Body Shop just squeezed out a victory over IBEW 351 earning a season ending championship game to be played on Tuesday April 1st (7:30 AM).  The final score of the game was 2 to 1.  Mike Leary had both goals for Point. Jeff Zale had the lone goal for IBEW.

Somers Point Body Shop under the direction of coach Greg Johns defeated Carpenters Contracting 5 to 0 to go on to the championship against IBEW 351.

Cadet Playoff Action:

Somers Point Body Shop came away with the win in a very close 2 to 1 game against Point Auto.  With 56 seconds left in regulation, Point Auto went all out crashing the net with Body Shop’s goaltender being injured and taken out of the game with 40 seconds left.  Ron Davison put the pads on to finish the game for Somers Point Body.  Adam Abril for Point auto was also amazing playing goal for Point Auto.

Somers Point Body Shop now advances to play against Carpenters Contracting to finish off the losers bracket.  The time and date for that game is to be announced.

Cadet Playoff Action:

Somers Point Body Shop narrowly defeated Remax at The Shore 3 to 2.  It was a good spirited game going back and forth with The Body Shop coming away with the victory in the final seconds of the game.

Micchelli’s Pizza battled Point Auto in another great playoff game ending with Point Auto coming out on top with a 5-4 victory in overtime.  Brock Copeland had the game winner.

IBEW 351 reached the winners bracket to remain undefeated beating Carpenters Contracting  4 to 2.

The next game is Somers Point Body Shop vs. Point auto.  The winner of that game moves on to play Carpenters Contracting.  And The winner of that game must beat IBEW 351 twice in order to win the championship.

Carpenters Contracting out played Somers Point Body Shop 3 to 1.  T.J. Eagan started the scoring for Carpenters followed by Kyle Flanigan and Mike Giglio.  Eddie Bosmeyer in nets for carpenters came up big!!!  Ryan Albrecht had the lone goal for Somers Point Body.

Remax at The Shore foreclosed on Charlie’s in a 10-4 blow out.  Artie Elwell had the hat trick for Remax.  Billy Kelley and Joe brown each scored a pair, Matt Tomlinson, Anthony O’donnell, and Kyle Pesche each scored one goal.  Dustin Peterson had a pair of goals for Charlie’s with single goals scored by Tm Karver, and Collin Halliday.

The best game of the night by far was between Point Auto and IBEW 351!  The game was back and forth for three periods until 33 seconds left in regulation.  Point Auto mounted a plan with no goaltender in their face-off zone with Joe Falls winning the face-off and charging down to score the tying goal sending the game into overtime!  In the end it was 351 winning the game5-4.  Joe Falls also had a hat trick with Brock Copeland scoring a single goal for Point Auto.  Scoring a hat trick for 351 was Zack Freeman.  Jeff Zale had one and D.J. Menchaca had the winning goal along with Larry Grace claiming the assist.

Carpenters Contracting beat Micchelli’s Pizza 6 to 2.  Micchelli’s, with only 6 people on the court, did what they could.  T.J. Eagan and Kyle Flanigan both had a pair of goals.  Mike Polt and Mike Giglio each scored one.  Scoring for Micchelli’s was Megan O’Donnel and Brenden Pancoast.

Point Auto “tuned up” Charlie’s 13 to 5.  Everybody help with the scoring for Point while Steph Mell scored four goals and Kelli Karver scored one for Charlie’s.

Cadet Playoff Game #2:

3rd seed Remax lost to 6th seed IBEW 351 in a 4-0 shut out Tuesday night.  Jim McGuire, D.J. Brown, Larry Grace, and D.J. Menchaca all scored for 351 with John Rowland claiming the shutout in net.

The 1st and 3rd playoff games will be held Thursday night weather permitting at 6:00 and 7:00 pm.

Point Auto wrenched IBEW Local 351 9-1.  The game was close up to the 3rd period and then came the “shoot fest” with an unchallenged 7 goals from 351!!

Carpenters Contracting floored Charlie’s 4-1 for the last of the regular season games.  Kyle Devera, Mike Polt, Kyle Flanagan, and Mike Giglio all scored for Carpenters. Tom Karver had the lone goal for Charlie’s.

Remax at The Shore earned the win in overtime 3-2 against Micchelli’s Pizza.  Matt Tomlinson had the winning goal deflecting a shot from Anthony O'Donnell who also had one goal along with Joe brown.  Anthony Landolfo scored both goals for Micchelli’s.

Somers Point Body Shop hung on the grab the win from IBEW 351 in a hard fought game!!  Mike Leary and Chris Winsor each had a goal for Somers Point.  DJ Menchaca had the lone goal for 351. 

Charlie’s forfeited to Point Auto due to lack of players.  With only two games to make up, the regular playing season will end and playoffs will start soon!!!!

Remax at The Shore rolled over Micchelli’s Pizza 5-1.  Scoring for Remax was Atie Elwell with two goals, Anthony O'Donnell, Joe Brown and Billy Kelly each with one.

Somers Point Body Shop hammered Charlie’s 8-2.  Mike Leary scored a season high six goals followed by Scott Barrie with two.  Tom Karver had both goals for Charlie’s.           

IBEW 351 shut out Point Auto in a 7-0 blow out.  Jeff Zale and DJ Menchaca each scored two goals with CJ Karrer, Zack Freeman, and Larry Grace all scoring one apiece

Carpenters Contracting edged out Micchelli’s with a last minute goal scored by TJ Eagan.  Mike Giglio and Kyle Flanagan also scored one each.  Scoring for Micchelli’s was Anthony Landolfo and Mike Lamey.

Somers Point Body Shop and Point Auto battled to the end with a 2-2 tie after overtime.  The shooting never stopped on either side until the horn sounded after the 5 minute clock expired.  Pat Johns and Adam Abril were the goaltenders for the game.  Scoring the goals for Somers Point Body was Mike Leary and Scott Barrie.  For Point was Justin Radico and Steve Campbell.

Remax at The Shore beat Carpenter Contracting 4-3 in another close game!  Artie Elwell scored a hat trick  and Billy Kelly followed with one goal  for Remax.  Kyle Flanagan, Mike Polt and Mike Giglio all scored for Carpenters!

IBEW Local 351 pounded Charlie’s 7-2.

Somers Point Body sanded Carpenters Contracting smooth with a 4-0 shut out in sub zero conditions!  Mike Leary had all 4 goals for Somers Point.  Pat Johns earned his 3rd shut out of the year!!!

There was limited action on the courts today due to icy conditions from the snow storm Thursday night. All games on the west court were canceled, three games were canceled on the east court in the morning.

Remax and Somers Point Body shop went at it again in another “nail biter” of a game with Remax coming out on top 1-0. Scoring the lone goal for Remax was the infamous Anthony O'Donnell  just coming back from  the injured reserve list.  His brother  Chris had the shut out in net!!!

Micchelli's pizza melted Charlie's ice 4-1.  Most of the goals scored were in the first period.  Scoring a hat trick was Mike Lamey, with a single goal by John Kohn for Micchelli's.   Steph Mell had the lone goal for Charlie's.

Remax at The Shore just edged out Point Auto for a 2-1 win!!  Billy Kelly and Joe Brown each had goals for Remax, Brock Copeland scoring the lone goal for Point.

Carpenters Contracting and Charlie's battled to 3-3 tie after overtime that also included a snow storm that made playing  very slippery.  Kyle Devera, Mike Giglio, and Jesse Walter had the goals for Carpenters.  Charlie's goals were scored by Tom Karver, John O’zemko, and Dustin Peterson.

IBEW Local 351 beat out Micchelli's Pizza in yet another overtime game with a score of 7-6.  Zack Freeman again with a hat trick followed by Jeff Zale with a pair, Jim Mcgettigan and Jim Mcguire with single goals for 351.  For Micchelli's, it was Anthony Landolfo with a hat trick, Mike Lamey, Mike Kern and Duncan Fitzpatrick all with one goal apiece.

Charlie’s iced Remax at the Shore 8-2. Collin Halliday scored the hat trick while Dustin Peterson and Steph Mell each had a pair of goals.  Jacob Greenberg scored one.  Matt Tomlinson had both goals for Remax.

Carpenters contracting and Micchelli's Pizza had a back and forth game with Carpenters edging out Micchelli's for the 3-2 win.  Scoring for Carpenters with one each were Mike Giglio, T.J. Eagan and Mike Polt. Scoring for Micchelli's was Duncan Fitzpatrick and Mike Lamey. 

IBEW Local 351 and Somers Point Body Shop battled to a very close 4-3 game with Somers Point body winning with a last minute shooting barrage that was held off by Pat Johns.  Again with a pair of goals for Somers Point was Mike Leary followed with singles by Ryan Albrecht and Scott Barrie. Scoring for 351 was Zack Freeman with a pair of goals and D.J. Menchacca with one.

Carpenters Contracting leveled Micchelli’s Pizza 5-2.  Micchelli’s again was at a disadvantage with only six players to compete.  Kyle Flanagan, Mike Giglio, Jesse Walter and Mike Polt all scored for Carpenters.  Mike Kern scored both goals for Micchelli’s.

Charlie’s Bar slammed Remax at The Shore 7-2 in a spirited game.  Scoring for Charlie’s was Colin Halliday with the hat trick, Jacob Greenberg with 2, Steph Mell and John O’zemko each with one.

Somers Point Body Shop blanked Point Auto with its second shut out of the year with a 5-0 game.  Scott Barrie had the hat trick along with Mike Leary with a pair of goals.  Pat johns had the shut out in net.

Micchelli's Pizza  rolled Remax at the Shore over for a 7-4 game.  Sharing hat tricks for Micchelli's were Mike Kern and Mike Lamey.  John Kohn had the remaining goal.  Matt Tomlinson had a pair of goals for Remax along with Anthony O’Donnell and his brother Chris  with one each.

Carpenters Contracting nailed the win over IBEW 351 with a score of 5-3.  With two goals apiece  were Jesse Walter and Kyle Flanagan.  Mike Polt added  one  goal for Carpenters.  Jeff Zale had two goals and Zack Freeman  scoring a goal for 351.

Charlie's Bar got tuned up by Point Auto with a 10-1 win.  Scores for Point were Justin Radico and Steve Campbell with 3 apiece, Joe Falls, Brock Copeland, Adam Abril, and Jen Ross all with one goal apiece.  Collin Halliday had the lone goal for Charlie's to break the shut out!!!

Remax at the Shore closed the deal with a 5-1 win over IBEW 351.  Joe Brown scored two goals with Anthony O'Donnell, Billy Kelly, and Artie Elwell each scoring 1.

Point Auto and Carpenters Contracting battled to 2-2 tie with goals by Paul Tosta and Joe Falls for Point.  Mike Polt  and Dave Miller scored  for Carpenters.

Micchelli's Pizza Baked Somers Point Body Shop with a 4-0 game.  Scoring for Micchelli's was Anthony Landolfo with 2 goals, Mike Lamey and Brenden Pancoast each with 1. Patrick Welsh had the shut out in net.

Point Auto just beat out Remax at The Shore by a very close 2-1.  Justin Radico and Keith Gerety scored one each for Point and Matt Tomlinson had the lone goal for Remax!!!

Somers Point Body Shop hammered Micchelli's Pizza 7-2.  With only 7  players on the team, Micchelli's battled as hard as they could!!  Scoring for Point with 2 goals apiece were Mike Leary and Scott Barrie with Shane Mack, Nick Harple and Cris  Winsor each with one.   Mike Kearn had both goals for Micchelli's.

The Electrician's Local 351 and Carpenter's Contracting fought to the end with a 3-3 tie after a 5 minute overtime!!!   Jim McGettigan scored twice and Jeff Zale scored one for 351 while  speedy Mike Giglio had two goals with Mike Polt scoring one for Carpenter's Contracting.

Micchelli's Pizza  beat out Charlie's Bar in a close 4-3 match up with a very clever Mike kern scoring a Texas hat trick for Micchelli's and scoring for Charlie's were  Colin Halliday, Tom Karver, and John O’zemko.

Somers Point Body Shop tried in vain to beat Remax at the Shore but lost 5-4  with just a second left in play.  Billy  Kelly  had the hat trick for Remax while Matt Tomlinson and Anthony O'Donnell each scored one.  Scott Barrie and Ryan Albrect each scored two for SP Body.

Point Auto edged out Carpenter’s Contracting  5-4.  Justin Radico scored 2 goals and had one assist, Joe Falls, Adam Abril and Josh Knight each scored 1 goal apiece for Point.  Mike Polt scored two while D.J. Young and Mike Giglio each scored one for Carpenter's Contracting. 

IBEW electrocuted  Micchelli's  Pizza for a 5-0 blow out!!!  Big Larry Grace and DJ Menchaca each scored two while  DJ Brown scored one, Zack Freeman in his debut showing had the shut out in net!!

Somers Point Body Shop just beat out Charlie's Bar for a come from behind win!! Goals were scored by Mike Leary, Chris Winsor, and Scott Barrie for SP Body while Dustin Peterson and Carolyn Toland each scored for Charlie's.

Carpenter Contracting beat Remax at the Shore 5-2 on Thursday night.  Kyle Flannigan scored a hat trick for Carpenter Contracting while Mike Giglio and Jayvic Arce each added one.  George Carros and  Kyle Pesce each scored for Remax.

Remax at the Shore rallied from a 5-0 deficit to win 8-6 in a rock and roll affair. Billy Kelly scored 6 times for Remax.

This Saturday was picture day and games were regrettably running late, but in the cadet division...

Joe Falls scored the game winner with :51 to go in the 3rd period as Point Auto beat Micchelli's Pizza 4-3. Justin Radico had 3 goals for Point Auto and Mike Lamey also had 3 goals for Micchelli's. 

Somers Point Body Shop wrecked Carpenter Contracting 4-1 on goals by Ryan Albrecht, Mike Leary, Chris Windser, and Scott Barrie. 

Remax-at the Shore beat Electricians Local 351 3-1 in the late game.

Charlie's roared back from a 3-0 deficit in the 3rd period to defeat Electricians local 351 by a score of  4-3 on goals by Dustin Peterson, Ronnie Defelice, Tom Karver, and Colin Halliday.

Somers Point Body Shop banged out an overtime 1-0 victory over Carpenter Contracting. Chris Windsor scored for the Body and Pat Johns pitched the shutout.
